Annual Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament

Each year, the Concrete Council of St. Louis awards three scholarships supported by the funding from the Concrete Council Golf Tournament sponsored by Fenix Construction Company, held annually at Bogey Hills Country Club.

One scholarship is reserved for relatives of the Concrete Council member firm employees. The selection is made by the Board of Directors based on a standard application form. This scholarship is awarded at the end of the Golf Tournament.

One scholarship is awarded to a student from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, and one scholarship is awarded to a student from the Missouri University of Science & Technology. Both of these scholarships are based on a recommendation by the head of the Concrete Construction

Department at each of their respective schools. Scholarship recipients are judged by their department heads to be “most deserving and best able to utilize knowledge of concrete construction in their careers.” These scholarships are presented at the annual Concrete Council | American Concrete Institute of Missouri Quality Concrete Awards in April.

We are very proud that many of the scholarship recipients started their careers with member firms and have had the honor of presenting younger generations with the scholarship that they once received.
